Jessica Graham is a London-based mixed media artist whose vibrant botanical works celebrate the joy, colour and abundance of the natural world. Using hand painted papers, she creates each piece through an intuitive process of tearing, layering and arranging fragments into richly detailed compositions. The act of ripping rather than cutting always produces unexpected results and makes for a completely unique image. The work often overspills its borders giving a boundless effervescent energy and the bright paper pieces are beautifully juxtaposed with a dark background to add contrast and highlight the ripped paper edge. Jessica combines bold graphic shapes with intricate craftsmanship, transforming painted papers into artworks with an almost three-dimensional presence.

After studying surface design and graduating with a First Class Honours degree from LCC, University of the Arts, London, Jessica went on to design patterns for UK and international clients, spanning, apparel, homeware and hospitality as well as continuing to undertake commissions and sell original artworks. Alongside her art pieces, she continues to update her range of wallpapers, which include vibrant florals in a kaleidoscope of colours.
